TESLA Begin Work On New CD, Line Up Acoustic Dates
February 15, 2002FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TESLA WORKING ON SONGS FOR NEW STUDIO ALBUM SERIES OF ACOUSTIC CONCERTS SCHEDULED
The hard-rocking, hard-working band TESLA has begun work on their next studio effort, writing songs for the past two months at guitarist Frank Hannon's studio in Northern California. This album will be the first studio release from the original lineup of vocalist Jeff Keith, Hannon, guitarist Tommy Skeoch, bass guitarist Brian Wheat and drummer Troy Luccketta since 1994, and also their first studio release on Sanctuary Records following last year's Replugged Live.
On an "unofficial hiatus" since 1996, the band reformed for a major tour in October 2000 which started off in front of 15,000 screaming fans at Sacramento's Arco Arena.
The quintet rocks just as convincingly in an unplugged setting — as proven by their Top 10 hit "Signs" — and a series of intimate acoustic shows have been scheduled starting February 15, 2002, at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA.
The acoustic shows include:
Feb. 15 - West Hollywood, CA @ House of Blues
Feb. 16 - Las Vegas, NV @ House of Blues
Feb. 17 - Anaheim, CA @ House of Blues
Mar. 06 - New York, NY @ Irving Plaza
Mar. 07 - New York, NY @ Irving Plaza
Mar. 08 - Hartford, CT @ Webster Theater
